When the things you’ve worked so hard for
Fall like rubble at your feet,
When you look at your possessions
That once made you feel complete,
When the dreams you built your hopes on
Disappear into thin air,
Why not turn your eyes to heaven,
For your Savior’s waiting there.
God created for our pleasure
Snow-capped mountains, rolling seas.
With one mighty splash of color
Painted brilliant aspen trees.
All the beauty that surrounds us
Is a gift from God above;
All He asks is that we thank Him
And return His priceless love.
Lift your eyes up to the heavens,
Let His peace now fill your soul.
Let Him pour His virtue through you,
Strengthen you and make you whole.
He holds the world and all that’s in it
In the palm of His dear hand;
You can bring your burdens to him
And be sure He’ll understand.
