OUR WEDDING PRAYER

On bended knee, we ask of Thee, to give us Your pure love.
Today we join our hearts as one and ask You, Lord above,
That You will rid us of our sin, begin our lives anew.
We seek Your face and by Your grace, we’ll live only for You.

Today on this our wedding day we want Your perfect will.
Anoint us with Your blessing, seal it with Your “Peace be still.”
Let us be kind not boastful, bathe us with Your special love.
We want to be your vessels, guide us from Your throne above.

Give us the faith we’ll need each day to face what lies ahead.
If we should fail, let love prevail, teach us to trust instead.
Grant us the hope of seeing You on that eternal day.
When You shall come to claim Your bride, include us, Lord, we pray.

And let us love unselfishly like You so freely gave
Your life for all who would believe, their very souls to save.
Oh boundless love, eternal love, pour it on us today
And cover us with righteousness, for this we humbly pray.
